My friends call me “T”
For as long as I can remember as a little girl, I wanted a canopy bed. Although we couldn’t afford one, for my 10th birthday my parents surprised me. That single piece of furniture inspired me to decorate the rest of my room with scraps of fabric and ribbons, and transform it into a space that actually made me happy. That was the spark that started my passion for transforming spaces into happy places…
I learned at a very young age that the way a space or patio looks can have a really big impact on how we feel - and it only takes some inspiration and creativity to create a space we truly enjoy.
In 2024, I decided to follow my lifelong dream and open a design business with my daughter. Shortly after launching the business, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to put the business on hold. Today, I am in remission, and reminded that life is too short not to pursue your dreams - or live in spaces that don’t make you happy or support your well-being.
My Philosophy, Style & Approach
I love spaces rooted in classical structure and elevated through warmth, color, and a touch of glam. My goal is to balance form and function - elegance and comfort, so your home, room or garden feels intentional and refined, yet livable for generations.
I’m drawn to timeless elements, symmetry, and traditional silhouettes, softened with rich color, contrast, and tactile materials. I like to bring spaces to life with personal objects and art that tell a story. Color should do more than pop. It should shape the mood of a space and reflect the vibe of the people who use it.
Even the most beautiful spaces must welcome real life. Every layer should have purpose, so your home feels elevated, comfortable, and personal.
I would describe my style as collected elegance: layered rather than styled, polished yet human, and designed to grow more beautiful over time.
I gravitate toward classic and timeless influences, from British Colonial and Asian inspired themes, to Hollywood Regency and Art Deco with a dash of chinoiserie. I lean more traditional than modern. More chic than shabby. More old world than new, and more timeless than trendy.
When it comes to design, while I do believe balance, proportion, scale, color, light, contrast and details, are all important… at the end of the day, if you like it and it makes you happy - that’s what truly matters.
I’ve spent years learning the principles of design only to discover that what separates good from GREAT, is the eye of the beholder.
Her friends call her “Tay”
There’s a reason she’s my trusty partner… she has the eye! Whether it’s for a perfect photograph, or the right color balance, she was born with the skill so many people spend years perfecting. Although younger in years, she has all of the qualities I look for in a design assistant and an amazing daughter!
Although our style preferences differ, the differences in our perspective ensure there is always a balance with loads of objectivity.
