Decades
of design…

My friends call me “T”

When I was a little girl, my parents surprised me with a canopy bed for my 10th birthday. That single piece of furniture inspired me to decorate the rest of my room and turn it into a space that felt like mine. That’s when I first realized what an impact a room’s decor - and our sensory experiences have on our mood. And it only takes a little inspiration and creativity to transform it into a space that truly makes us happy.

I’ve been renovating and transforming homes and outdoor spaces for the last 30 years, turning the ho-hum into wow. Shortly after launching my business with my daughter, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to put everything on hold. Little did I know that the time I spent renovating our home and landscaping the year prior would serve a greater purpose. Throughout my treatment, our home and garden became my refuge and a key part to my healing. It was my calm in the storm, a place where I could truly rest.

It was a powerful reminder of how important our surroundings are to our well-being, and that everyone deserves a space that restores them. Today, I am in remission and more certain than ever that life is too short not to live and work in spaces that make us happy.

My style and philosophy

Architectural character, historical influences and timeless silhouettes, layered with rich textures, colors and accents - are the hallmarks I design by. Elements that give spaces depth, character, personality and tell a story.

I do not chase trends - although I do enjoy refreshes to keep things interesting. Spaces shouldn’t just be styled or decorated, they should have an identity and evoke a distinct feeling while reflecting the lives of the people who use them.

My style is not singular - I appreciate elements from several design styles, including Chinoiserie, British Colonial, Hollywood Regency and Art Deco, as well as Japandi, Tuscan and Greek Revival.

I describe it as collected elegance: polished yet lived in, distinct yet harmonious, and designed to allow for new layers and refreshes over time. My preferences lean more toward traditional than modern - more chic than shabby - and more timeless than trendy.

my version…

Her friends call her “Tay”

A girl standing at the edge of a lake with turquoise water, surrounded by trees with green and yellow leaves, mountains in the background, and a partly cloudy sky.

There’s a reason she’s my trusty partner and design assistant… she has the eye! Whether it’s for a perfect photograph, or the right color balance, she was born with the skill so many people spend years perfecting.

Although our style preferences sometimes differ, they cover a spectrum and ensure an objective and balanced design where we meet in the middle.
